who do you trust?

so many ppl in the world out for themselves. every has their own story. everyone is trying to make a buck. who is telling the truth? they all say something different trying to play you. especially when it comes to selling this or that...or fulfilling their agenda.

i don't think it's totally evil or have a bad view of it. it's capitalism. but still...

we're just wanting to find& buy our 1st "house". gosh. why does it have to be so difficult?

The bottom line is that you have to do your research and trust no one. (Also, don't do business with family and friends!) Everyone is out to pay their own way. It's a good system, but if you're not quick on your feet and educated on how the opposing side works, you're in for it. Lucky for us, we have google and fatwallet to help us do research. :)

I had friends stroll into a car dealership w/o any previous research or even plans. They thought they got a good deal b/c they knocked $500 off a new civic. Whaaa? They didn't even know the listed MSRP value or invoice value. $500 off the sticker price is not so hot. The damage was done so I didn't tell them that they got ripped off.
