we meet a new one everyday. and they all "want to be your friend" or something like that... salespeople...
who do you trust?
and how do they all stay in business? so many realtors. all trying to make commission. all trying to close the deal. whether or not it's good for you... they do what they need to do i guess.

housing market...it's overpriced usually. all about "what the market can bear"
what will ppl pay for something? supply and demand...
it's all about what one is willing to dish out over another one.

what is it worth to you?
what are you willing to pay?

You should look closely at the real estate agent industry. I don't have a good opinion of it, even though I have good friends doing it. You're really paying 6% (3 to buy, 3 to sell) of your home to basically be part of a network. A HUGE network.
If you're not part of it, they won't show your home and they won't bring people to see your home.
Also, it benefits realtors to quickly sell your home, not to sell it for top dollar. Likewise, they won't bargain that hard to get a home. That's because they only make 3% on a sale. If you talk 220K down to 200K, so what for them? They make an extra 600 (over 6000), but risk losing a sale and moving on to the next customer. They're better off bargaining with YOU, then the other real estate agent. The way it's set up, they are not really acting on your behalf.
Also, besides finding you a home that's part of their "network" called the MLS, there's nothing that they do that you couldn't do yourself.
There's much more, but this is the jist. I'm not sure what I'll do the next time I need to move. Realtors suck.
